Past and Present Everwin Matriculation Higher Secondary School was established in the year 1992 with classes up to Std. VII. In fact it began with a bang and in style : The lands were bought in April 1992, the building was constructed in May 1992 and the classes began in June 1992. And we never looked back since then and the style continues with sheer innovation and perfection in education. The school is administered by Everwin Educational and Charitable Trust, a registered organisation. The school was recognised by the Government of Tamil Nadu in the year 1995 up to Std X and Higher Secondary in 2003. Started on a land of just 1816 sq.ft. in the year 1992 with the built up area of 1450 sq.ft., the school is now on a sprawling premises : 74,400 sq. ft. of lands with six buildings measuring 34,600 sq.ft. in three floors each and the vast playgrounds of 26,500 sq.ft. The student strength which was at a meagre 78 in 1992 is 2,240 in 2006 and is all set to touch the 3000-mark in 2007. The target is 10,000 by 2010 |

Infrastructure Besides the sprawling premises, Everwin has all the ingredients of being called the best school. The classrooms are big and wide with adequate ventilation. Well designed furniture for children to place themselves in a comfortable position is our hallmark. The electrical appliances in every classroom can withstand both heat and coldness. There are two auditoriums for conducting competitions and organising celebrations. An overall area of 2100 sq.ft. has been provided for toilets at 4 places. Computer lab, Science Lab and Library are the cynosure of all eyes at our school. Each primary class has a computer on its own. Students from class VI onwards are trained in science practical and every student stamps his/her footsteps in the library. The school canteen functions for eight hours a day from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. The stationery shop has a PCO and A Reynolds pen-vending machine too. |

| Admission Procedure While Everwin takes pleasure to welcome every new entrant to its fold, the decision to admit a student is the sole discretion of the school management which will go by the vacancies and the merit factor. Though admission to all classes is done depending on the vacancy levels, strict government rules will apply for admission to the higher classes. The cost of application is Rs. 70/- The application form should be filled in correctly and completely and submitted to the school office before the time of interview. The test and interview will be conducted at the time of submission of the filled in application. A student seeking admission to any class must satisfy the following :

Fee Structure At the time of admission, fees such as admission fee, special fee, establishment fee, first month and term fee and fee for books and note books must be paid. Starting from July and up to May, a monthly fee has to be paid.Term fee equivalent to or little more than the monthly fee must be paid in October and January, along with that months’ monthly fee. Concession on the fees up to 20 per cent is given to the children of the same family, No separate fee for computer education. |

Power Period for Career Skills:- The first of its kind in Chennai, Power Period in Everwin from Std III onwards aims at preparing students various job-related and life-oriented skills. From 3 to 3.40 p.m. each day students are trained on the following. Tuesday: Group Discussion Skills, Wednesday: Newspaper Reading Skills, Thursday: Mental Maths Skills, Friday: Vocabulary Skills Privileged Student Cheque Scheme :- Monthly free cheques to shop in Kolathur and Perambur if the student scores more than 70% marks in Quarterly and Half yearly exams. Weekly Test every Monday :-The marks in weekly tests are carried forward to main exams such as Midterm Test, Quarterly and Half yearly exams. Student Profile for each student :-To monitor and record the student’s activities in all spheres. An 8-page file updated every week by the class teacher and sent to Parents in weekends. A good record to be perused by the parent to know where exactly the student stands in studies and extra curricular activities. Better Performance Cheques :- Shopping cheques for all rank holders and slow learners if they perform better than the previous exam in rank or total or the number of subjects passed. Intra section Saturday Quiz :- Quiz on one-word questions from the lessons taught during week days is held every Saturday and the members of the winning team in each section of each standard are awarded on the spot shopping cheques. Only 30 students per section :-Individual concentration on each student is possible for teachers. Free Special Coaching classes up to 7.00 p.m. :- Till 7.00 p.m. in the nights on all week days free coaching classes are conducted for the slow learners without charging extra fee. Free Special Coaching classes up to 9.00 p.m.:- For the students who appear for Government Exams, vigorous coaching is provided from up to 9.00 p.m. on week days. English Speaking made easy :- One period a week exclusively to train the children on basic grammar and English speaking techniques.
