366 UKG children at Everwin Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Kolathur, received graduation and were conferred with the title ‘Master of Kindergarten’in the year 2010-2011.
Liaquat Ali Khan, formerly Regional Inspector of Physical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, took part in the ceremony and awarded the certificates to the kids.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Liaquat Ali Khan said parents must not enforce their will on the kids. “Your work is over once you give your children the basic education and good health”.
Elaborating on the need to put more pressure on today’s children, he exhorted the parents not to punish children for mistakes. “We learn only from mistakes and those mistakes refine our character” the chief guest added.
Presiding over the event, B. Purushothaman, Principal, said the school has the largest number of kindergarten kids - over 1,000. “We leave no stone unturned in laying a strong foundation in education for our students” he said.
V. Mageswari, CEO and M. Kalaiarasi, Senior Vice Principal, were also present. A large number of parents took part in the ceremony and greeted the tiny tots.
